My First Post

It's starting.....

It’s been hard to get started on my blog, what to say, what interests other people all a challenge to me. Finally I’m just starting and we’ll all see how it goes.

I posted the following on my Facebook page on July 5th. It’s a good place to start.

40 years ago today I started my first woodworking job. It is hard to believe it’s been that long. I am semi retiring beginning of August to prepare for a two month road trip, I leave August 16th.

On May 17th, 2016 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Typically a fairly slow growing cancer, mine is not. I won’t bore you with numbers, but this was the final push to take my trip.

As I pushed my oncologist to share with his peers any and all of my treatment results I realized I needed to do the same. So my road trip has turned into a prostate cancer awareness journey. It’s my goal to speak to as many people as possible, sharing the mistakes I made, the good things I did and how they have affected my life. I have a very awesome friend helping me.

I will update you on more specifics about my journey soon. My goal is to post daily once I get on the road. Between now and August 16th I will post on my blog a couple of times a week maybe more as this gets more and more exciting.

My truck, my plans and myself are all a work in progress.

Luv ya all,

PS… please share my story with everyone you can, in any way you can.
